Thur shore is powerful lot of doins a doin in Highlands today. 8 a.m. "Stockaid” opened 10;30 a.m. Grand Ole Cpry at Galax Theatre 11 a.m. Barbeeq begins 12 p.m. Hillbilly Luncheon at Potts House 1 to ^ p.m. Woodsmen’s Contests (Con’t. page 5) HOSPITAL DIRECTORS At the annual meeting of the Trustees of the Highlands Community Hospital, held July 2?, all Trustees and Directors were re-elected for another year. V. M. McCall, of the Jackson County Bank, was elected to the Board of Trustees vice Tom Har- bison,resigned. S.C. Russell is Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Chas. J«Anderson, vice-Chairm.an and Dr. J.Z.M.Hedden secretary, W.H. Cobb remains Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mrs. JoH.C, Perry, secretary and W» Hoy Potts, Treasurer. SILVER TEA A very enjoyable affair of last week was the silver tea given by the Episcopal Woman's auxiliary at the home of Mrs. JoH» Eowe in Horse Cove. The table was centered with a lovely arrangement of mixed summer Flowers with candles in candl'eabra. Among those presiding at the punch bowl were: Mrs. Esther Preas, Mrs. E.R. Gilbert, Mrs. Noe, Mrs. Forrest Fay and Miss Ketner. During the tea, piano selections were given by Mrs. A.C. Holt, Mrs. Robert Balfour and Miss Mary Bascom Cook.
